Not all heroes wear capes, some have helmets and role in on two wheels just like Brandon Turnbow. This Texas man was on his motorbike embarking on an adventure when he spotted something that disturbed him a great deal.
One cruel man was beating an innocent dog on the side of the Highway 171 where he was driving. Turnbow couldn’t let that happen and decided to intervene, but as he turned his motorbike and pulled over, the guy assaulting the poor creature drove off. Brandon wrote on Facebook how before he approached the dog he first “went after the guy just to give him a number one sign.”
Thankfully, the pup was now in safe hands. Brandon was determined to do its best to save the animal’s life so he took him with him. Later, he shared the cutest photo of himself and his new furry friend writing, “And I now have a co-pilot—Meet Mr. Davidson.”
The rest of the day was an incredible journey filled with fun and lots of doggy treats.
“Well, looks like my co-pilot has found peace,” Brandon shared on Facebook. “His belly is full and he found the pillow.”
This experience wasn’t only life changing for sweet Mr. Davidson, but for Brandon, too. After he realized how his act of stepping in for the dog affected the animal’s life for the best, he knew he had to do it for other neglected and abused dogs too. As a result, he founded the non-profit organization Baaang Bikers Against Animal Abuse National Global and asked bikers from all over the country to join in.
His message that said, “Let’s all join together to make this happen on an epic scale. I know there are a lot of bikers out there that love animals, so how would you like it if we sent bikers to collect abused animals near you?” spread very quickly and many bikers wanted to be part of the mission.
Brandon may resemble a tough guy, but he’s in fact a softie and a huge animal lover who loves singing and writing songs. In case you want to hear something from him, check his newest song dedicated to Mr. Davidson.
We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.
